Research Facilities
Jefo® has established its own research centers to independently conduct trials with greater speed and flexibility, reducing reliance on external institutions and accelerating the development of innovative, science-based nutritional solutions.
Poultry
Designed to evaluate and optimize feed solutions for both broilers and layers, our facility—located adjacent to the Jefo® Campus—focuses on developing nutrition strategies that improve productivity and sustainability. Research efforts include the study of growth performance, feed efficiency, health indicators, and gut microbiome dynamics.
Broiler Chicken Facilities

Laying Hen Facilities
216 cages with 3 laying hens per cage

Swine
We understand that swine production faces increasing challenges—from post-weaning performance and gut health to feed efficiency and antibiotic reduction strategies. Jefo® has access to a swine research facility specialized in precision nutrition for pigs, allowing us to test and optimize feeding programs under commercial conditions.
We partner with a commercial Canadian farm to develop science-backed solutions that support growth, metabolism, and overall swine health.
Post-Weaning & Grow-Finish Trials – Evaluating nutrition strategies to improve digestibility, feed conversion, and immune resilience.
32 Weaning Pens – Simulating commercial environments to test early-life nutrition strategies.
52 Grow-Finish Pens – Studying nutrient absorption, feed conversion rates, and finishing-phase efficiency.
Antibiotic-Free Strategies – Developing alternatives to support gut health and reduce reliance on medication.
Aquaculture
Aquaculture is the fastest-growing sector in global food production, and faces unique challenges—from water quality management to feed efficiency and disease control.
Our aquaculture research facility specializes in precision nutrition for tilapia and catfish, allowing us to test and optimize feed strategies under real-world conditions.
Located in Mexico, our facility is dedicated to precision aquafeed development.
Tilapia & Catfish – Studying optimal feed formulations for growth, digestibility, and resilience in various water conditions.
Tailor-Made Nutrition – Testing Jefo's® functional additives for gut health, immune response, and performance enhancement.
Real-World Conditions – Conducting trials in high-density environments with continuous monitoring of oxygen levels, pH, and water quality.
Dairy
Due to the Canadian Supply Management constraints for dairy production, Jefo® partners with commercial dairy farms around the world to test new solutions.
Once proven in the field, we scale up our trials with universities and private research centers to demonstrate their efficiency and back them up with proven research.
