Supporting the Development of China's Aquaculture Industry
China remains the world's largest aquaculture producer and one of the most dynamic markets for animal nutrition solutions. As producers continue to seek improvements in productivity, feed efficiency, sustainability, and animal health, the demand for innovative nutritional strategies continues to grow. Increasing production efficiency while reducing environmental impact has become a key priority across the industry, creating opportunities for advanced, science-based nutritional solutions.
At the same time, the aquaculture sector is facing increasing pressure from global supply chain challenges and raw material volatility. The effects of El Niño have significantly impacted fish meal production in 2026, reducing availability and creating additional pressure on feed manufacturers and producers worldwide. In this context, innovative nutritional approaches that help optimize nutrient utilization, improve feed efficiency, and reduce dependence on scarce raw materials are becoming increasingly important.
"I am excited to join Jefo and contribute to the development of the aquaculture industry in China," said Yao Liu. "Jefo's commitment to innovation and practical science offers tremendous opportunities to support producers as they navigate evolving market challenges. I look forward to working closely with customers and partners to deliver sustainable nutritional solutions that help improve animal performance and production outcomes."
His appointment marks another step in Jefo's continued investment in Asia and its commitment to delivering value to aquaculture producers and industry partners across the country.
